Introduction
The anti-bullying programme was introduced to the school as part of a school-wide approach to deal with bullying behaviour. As a school we define bullying as follows:
Bullying is unprovoked and one-sided. It happens when someone or a group of people hurts, embarrasses, frightens, threatens or leaves someone out on purpose.
Bullying can for example be physical, verbal, social or through the use of modern technology.
In this section you will find our policy as well as the steps that we decided on how to deal with incidents of bullying and the reporting procedure. Our main goal is to raise an awareness of what bullying actually is amongst the school community and to strengthen the position of the bystanders to take action against bullying. We encourage any member of our school community to take a stand against bullying by refusing to join in, by supporting the person being bullied and by reporting any incident immediately by using the form also included in this section and handing it either to the heads of school or the school counsellors.
