Peer Mediation Service
The ISHR Peer Mediation Service is a service provided by IB Diploma students for the benefit of all secondary students at ISHR. A team of trained Peer Mediators are available each break time and lunch time to support students who are in disagreement or conflict with one another and need a third party to support them to find solutions to the issues they face. Peer Mediators use a specific set of questions to explore the issues, the feelings and motivations of the students involved in the conflict, and, most important of all, find a solution that is agreeable to everyone.
The support of the Peer Mediation Service can be accessed by contacting a Peer Mediator directly at break time or lunch time. Peer Mediators work in teams of two or three and each team provides support to the Service one day per week. Support can be sought by students or members of staff.
